Newsletter published August 2025: Click to read here
The August 2025 newsletter from Every Home for Christ Australia & New Zealand highlights several impactful initiatives and updates. A key feature is the Love Your Neighbour (LYN) project, launched in Indonesia and embraced locally through the Burmese-led Serve Your Neighbour Australia (SYNA). These programs mobilise believers to share Christ’s love through simple, tangible acts of care. One major outcome is The Greatest Light Project, a joint effort with SYNA to install solar power in remote Burmese communities and refugee camps, supporting orphanages, schools, and clinics.

Here is the newsflash;
|
We Never Expected This… Wow! More than 10,000 people have already experienced THE FIRST HYMN in Cinemas around Australia and New Zealand. And this news is something we idn’t plan for. Honestly, very few feature documentaries ever make it to cinemas, let alone make it to Week 3, let alone at this scale. But here we are… and it’s because of you. You read that right … THE FIRST HYMN has been given a third week in cinemas because of the tremendous demand. Across the country, we’re seeing something remarkable. People are hearing about THE FIRST HYMN from friends and family. Group bookings are rolling in and audiences are telling us that this is the kind of story you have to experience on the big screen. Thanks for the incredible support you’ve been pouring into THE FIRST HYMN. |

Also Consider hosting a movie fundraiser – with the partnership of
Wonder Events
Their latest offering is very topical at present –
“ONE LIFE starring Anthony Hopkins is one of the stories deserving to be told. The true story of Sir Nicholas Winton, who saved 669 children from the Holocaust by arranging their escape from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia to safety on the brink of World War II.”
You can imagine that this is equivalent to the famous ‘Narnia’s 4 children’ moved to safety x 167.
Wonder Events brings people together for local movie nights that celebrate connection and inspire community. And for those trips to the big screen, Wonder Tix offers discounted cinema tickets – saving you around $10 each, with $1 from every ticket going to support trafficking survivors in Nepal.
It’s a small choice that makes a big impact. Next time you’re heading to the movies, let Wonder Tix be part of the experience. Together, we’re making a difference, one ticket at a time. So why not bookmark us for your next trip to the movies.
